After spending Christmas with my side of the family the weekend before, we got to spend all Christmas Day with Trey’s family. After waking up and opening a few gifts we headed over to Trey’s moms for cousin time, breakfast, Ugly Cookie Sweater competition, and finally taking the family photo Trey’s mom has wanted for so long. It’s just so hard to get all of the family together because there are SO MANY of us! Karsyn isn’t old enough to really understand the meaning of Christmas and she’s absolutely terrified of Santa Clause, so we decided to hold off on starting new traditions with her until next year. Only 364 more days! 😉 I’m hoping she will be able to enjoy the Elf next year also, but I don’t think she will until 2018 or even 2019, we will see.
After Christmas with Trey’s mom we went over to his dads and had more food (the holiday usual, because that’s what we all do during this time of the year….eat. Haha!) And we opened more gifts… you guys, Karsyn seriously got so much from her grandparents that we decided to not open all of them and casually bring new toys out for a few months! Hahaha. Karsyn is my mothers first grandchild, so she takes “spoiled” to a whole new level with her.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I’ve enjoyed sharing all of our Christmas decor together in Holidays At Home facebook group, now that Christmas is over the group has become focused on New Years and soon we will be decorating for Valentines Day! Before you know it, we will be right back at Christmas so we went ahead and put all of our Christmas decorations up this morning and got our house back to “normal” until the pink color of love takes over in a few weeks.
