Nothing screams “summer time” like a bar cart stocked with sparkling lemonade, laffy taffy, and an entire cookbook of different ways to eat ice cream. I change up our bar cart with the season. Lemonade in the summer and hot chocolate in the winter. One of the main reason I choose to design my house in neutrals is because with each season, changing out accent pieces is easier done and a lot less expensive then a complete makeover!
The pink rug is from Sukhi Rugs! I’m probably going to be moving it into K’s room soon,
but I love it in this space until I find the perfect rug for our dinning room!
and the metal “Let’s Stay Home” sign is from Rust and Grace!
As you can see, Little Miss Karsyn loves to help me decorate! Haha. She knocked over that fruit basket 4 times, y’all! And I always get comments like “How does she not get into everything you have on bottom shelves?” Well, I’m not sure how to really answer that because she never messes with anything unless I’m messing with it. So, during this whole process of putting out the summer items on the bar she wanted to mess with it all. But ever since we finished, she hasn’t even gone up to it.
She’s one of those “I only want to play with it if you’re playing with it, mom!” kind of babes. Haha. Which is totally fine with me, but hopefully that doesn’t mean she wont be good at sharing her toys with her friends. I guess we will see when the time comes! If you have any tips on teaching kids to share, I’m all ears! We want to raise Karsyn to be a “giver”, so any tips help!
I hope you love our summer bar! If you’re looking for some essentials for your own, I’ve shared most of the things I have below to make shopping easier for you!
